A reader asks:

Using CET’s recommended light box, could I watch TV if I position the light to shine on my face?

The system is designed for the user to face forward with eyes directed toward the area below the screen at a distance of about 12-13 inches. Compatible activities include reading, writing, eating, sewing, using a laptop computer, and so on. If you placed a small TV screen (say, 14-inch flat panel or 6-inch portable) in the same position as you would use a laptop, that would seem fine. Positioning a standard TV behind the light box while maintaining the correct posture sounds awkward to us.
